State Support

 

For the current biennium, the Wyoming Department of Education budget includes $656,000 to support the Wyoming National Board Certification Initiative in our general focus areas: 

 

  • Recruiting teacher applicants for national certification 

  • Strengthening the support system for teachers in the process of obtaining national certification

  • Providing awards and public recognition for teachers receiving National Board Certification

  • Developing leadership skills of National Board Certified Teachers

     

In the 2007 Legislative session, a bonus of $4,000 per year for the life of the certificate was approved for Wyoming National Board Certified Teachers.
